Judgement Free Zone!

Our Story

*A note from the owner, Janelle VanderMeeden

Words can't begin to describe my level of gratitude for this second chance.  When I closed the door for the final time at our Texas Corner's location, tears were falling and I truly believed that was it for my yoga studio dream.  Thankfully, in time the stars aligned and  a second chance was provided.  Whether new student or former student, I truly can not wait to practice with you!

Health is Wealth Yoga has been quite a journey- beginning in Paw Paw (under different ownership) then moving to Texas Corners in 2018, where we sadly had to close in 2020 due to the Covid-19 crisis. Thankfully, the journey continues via The Studio.  One physical studio space, three separate businesses, all working towards promoting a healthier and happier community.

The studio space features beautiful cork flooring, our beloved rope wall, ballet barre and a larger practice space.  One major change is that we no longer supply props.  Due to both Covid-19 precautions and a desire for students to develop a home practice, we will no longer offer a large supply of straps, blankets, bolsters, or mats.  A limited supply of blocks are available for use.

**We understand some might want to try a class before committing to a purchase, we do have a small supply of mats available for your first class or two.

Our Vision

My mission at Health is Wealth Yoga is to create a judgement free zone in which to share the numerous benefits of a consistent Yoga practice.

I recognize that for many students, showing up to class is the hardest part.  However, once you walk through the green door, I've got you covered.  Our community strives to support and encourage one another without competition nor judgement.  Yoga is a personal practice in which we focus on ourselves, striving to be present in both mind and body.

With continued practice and dedication to time on your mat, you WILL see benefits to strength, balance, and flexibility.  As with all things in life, practice makes progress.

In addition to running Health is Wealth Yoga, I currently homeschool my two children and provide part-time daycare for my adorable nieces and nephew.  Clearly, I just love to teach! While my weekly classes are limited, please know that private sessions, as well as small group (ladies night, date night, family time, etc) are always an option.  Contact me for more information or to schedule your next session.

I hope to see you on the mat very soon!
